Despite the bleak looking weather first thing we ventured out on a play date with our Mother’s group. We had heard from one of our friends that a new playground had been installed at Carl Cowen Park and we had to check it out. You know us!
The older kids spent hours zipping down the slide, gathering arms full of straw that landscapers had spread over the grass seed nearby (who knew that was hours of fun?) and the littlest guys enjoyed the activity stations. I’ve not seen anything like them before. There were four if I recall correctly and they had a cute weather theme. My littlest guy loved the music station too. They can spin, twist and turn the parts to make musical sounds.
Afterwards we enjoyed a picnic under the trees and later some of the kids ventured over to the water with their moms to feed the ducks. It’s a small park, but well worth a visit if you’re out west. You can find the directions here.
